Crown & Field is the locally owned prom headquarters for southwest Virginia. Black-tie tuxedos, modern slim-fit suits, and every tie and vest color you need to match her dress — fitted in-house at our Christiansburg shop and at Valley View Mall in Roanoke.
Rentals Starting At
$120
Every package includes a black tuxedo, your choice of color tie, white dress shirt, vest, and pants — fitted in-house by our team. Reserve at least one week ahead; rush rentals inside of a week may be available at adjusted pricing.
Prom season runs heavy from March through May. Groups of six or more should call at least a month ahead.

Pick Style & Color
Choose classic black tuxedo or a modern colored suit, then pick your tie and vest — bring a photo of the dress and we'll match it.

Reserve Your Date
We hold your package for your prom date. One week minimum; earlier is better when your whole group is renting together.

Pick Up & Try On
Pick up a few days before prom, try everything on in store, and we'll make final adjustments on the spot.

- How much does a prom tuxedo rental cost in Christiansburg or Roanoke?
- Prom tuxedo rentals at Crown & Field start at $120. That includes a black tuxedo jacket and pants, your choice of color tie, a white dress shirt, and a vest — fitted in-house. Colored suits, upgraded styles, and accessories are available in shop.
- When should I reserve my prom tux?
- Reserve at least one week before prom, and ideally three to four weeks out during March and April when local proms stack up. Rush rentals inside of a week are sometimes possible, but pricing varies and color availability tightens.
- Do you give group discounts for prom groups?
- Yes. Bring your whole group — call Christiansburg at (540) 251-3594 or Roanoke at (540) 566-4487 and we'll build a group rate based on party size and style.
- Can you match my date's dress color?
- That's the most common request we get. Bring in a photo or a swatch of the dress and we'll match your tie, vest, and pocket square as closely as possible.
- Do I need an appointment for a prom fitting?
- Walk-ins are welcome at both shops. During peak prom season a quick call ahead means we can have your sizes and colors ready when you arrive.
- Can I rent a colored suit instead of a black tuxedo for prom?
- Yes. Plenty of students go with a modern slim-fit suit in navy, burgundy, tan, powder blue, or all-white instead of classic black tie. We'll show you both and you can decide in the mirror.
