The Wedding Tuxedo Checklist for Roanoke Grooms
If you're getting married anywhere in the Roanoke Valley — Hotel Roanoke, the Patrick Henry, a vineyard out toward Floyd, or a family farm in Botetourt — the tuxedo timeline is the same. Here's what we recommend, working backward from the wedding date.
6 months out — color & style consultation
Come into our Roanoke shop at Valley View Mall (or Christiansburg) with the bride if possible. We'll talk through season, palette, and formality. Hunter green, navy, and tan have been the dominant Roanoke wedding palettes the last two seasons.
3–4 months out — lock the rental order
Pick the suit or tuxedo style, the shirt, the vest, and the tie color. Everyone in the wedding party who can come in for measurements should. We hold the order on file.
2 months out — groomsmen fittings
Every fitting is done in person at our Christiansburg or Roanoke shop.
2 weeks out — final fittings
The groom and any local groomsmen come in for a final fit check. Tailoring is handled in-house — no off-site partner, no waiting.
Wedding week — pickup
The whole party picks up at either shop (Roanoke or Christiansburg) — pressed, on hangers, ready for the rehearsal dinner.
What's included
Every rental is $120 and includes the tuxedo or suit jacket and pants, white dress shirt, vest, and a tie in your wedding color. In-house tailoring is included on every rental.
